Birthday Celebrations: As a campus it was decided to no longer celebrate birthdays with food treats for the class as a whole. We are not allowed to serve treats, per child nutrition policy. Many children have special dietary needs and life-threatening allergies. Food provided without permission can put a child’s health at risk. You may bring a treat for your own child in the cafeteria during lunch (10:30-11:00).
Class parties & Field trips: Dates to follow. We love to have parents attend and help with these activities; however, we suggest that you make other arrangements for siblings during these times.
Class Website: Visit http://ppcdfish.weebly.com to see what’s new in our classroom and to stay updated about upcoming class events!
Clothing: Playing and learning are hard, sometimes messy work. Here are some clothing tips to help your child.
Please send your child to school in:
-Comfortable, washable play clothes
-Tennis shoes or closed toe sandals with fasteners
-If your child is toilet training please send them in pants/shorts that they can easily pull up and down. Elastic waistband pants are great for this!
Please DO NOT send your child to school in:
- Clothing with detachable belts, sashes, and straps
- One-piece jumpers or overalls
- Sandals (flip flops)
Cooking & Tasting: Cooking projects are a part of our curriculum. Check the weekly lesson plan for cooking & tasting activities. Please be on the lookout for requests of ingredients needed. Also, we need to know of any food allergies in advance, so we can make appropriate substitutions. In some cases a parent may need to provide the substitute ingredient/food for their child. If you do NOT wish for your child to participate in cooking & tasting activities, please let me know.

Thursday (Take Home) Folder: A school folder will be sent home every Thursday. This folder will include your child’s work and evidence of learning and progress. Please review the contents in this folder and initial the cover sheet inside. The folder is to be returned back to school for the following week.
